Domaine Blain-Gagnard is a family estate based in Chassagne-Montrachet, established in 1980 by Jean-Marc Blain and Claudine Gagnard. The domaine is particularly renowned for its white Burgundy, with holdings across some of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards.
The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a powerful and deeply concentrated Chardonnay, showing ripe pear and white peach alongside floral, citrus and layered spice notes. Broad and richly textured yet beautifully structured, the palate combines impressive depth with fresh acidity and mineral tension, leading to a remarkably persistent finish. Built for extended cellaring, this is one of the domaine’s most serious and age-worthy white wines.
