Phillip Jones is one of the pioneering figures of Australian Pinot Noir, best known for establishing Bass Phillip in South Gippsland. His wines from Leongatha South became renowned for their distinctive expression of Pinot Noir and their ability to develop considerable complexity with bottle age.
The 2009 Pinot Noir Museum Stock comes from the Jones family vineyard planted in 2001 and was produced with minimal intervention. Now with significant bottle age, it offers a mature expression of South Gippsland Pinot Noir, combining evolved red and dark fruit with savoury, earthy and spice-driven complexity.
