Marli Russell by Mount Mary is named in honour of Mount Mary co-founder Marli Middleton and showcases the estate’s Rhône-inspired plantings in the Yarra Valley. The project explores varieties particularly well suited to the site while retaining Mount Mary’s signature focus on elegance, balance and texture.
The 2024 RP1 is a blend of 40% Marsanne, 40% Roussanne and 20% Clairette. Fragrant and refined, it shows lemon zest, white peach and dried apricot with subtle fennel and mineral notes. The palate is focused and textural, with bright acidity, stone fruit and a distinctive saline character leading to a fresh, persistent finish.
