Egly-Ouriet is one of Champagne’s most celebrated grower-producers, based in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay. The domaine is renowned for old vines, low yields, extended lees ageing and a powerful yet precise expression of Pinot Noir.
The Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes “Les Crayères” is one of the domaine’s most sought-after cuvées, produced exclusively from old-vine Pinot Noir grown in the famed Les Crayères vineyard in Ambonnay. This release is based on the 2016 vintage and was disgorged in July 2023 after 72 months on lees. Deep and vinous, it combines ripe orchard and red fruit with citrus, brioche, spice and chalky minerality, finishing with exceptional concentration, freshness and length.
